The Bachelor’s degree in Sound and Music Technology offered at CityVarsity is to provide students with advanced knowledge, general principles, and advanced practical skills to succeed in the field of sound engineering and music production at job entry level.

It provides education and training in the integrated advanced application of techniques in sound engineering and music production. In addition, the qualification provides an articulation option for further study in Sound and Music studies by ensuring learning preparedness, equipping them with the skills required to succeed in higher levels of study.

The minimum programme duration is 3 years and the maximum duration is 5 years. Tuition is face to face. CityVarsity tuition is scheduled per campus. Programmes are offered during the week on a full-time basis.

On successful completion of the programme, the student will receive a Bachelor of Arts in Sound and Music Technology With specialisation in Live Sound

• A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Degree endorsement
