Cubase offers industry-standard digital facilities, as well as powerful plug-ins and virtual instruments. In this course, students will learn the principles of audio recording and manipulation, as applied to vocals as well as instruments both live and virtual.

COURSE OUTLINE

Cubase introduction and navigation, virtual instruments, audio and MIDI information, and the building of basic drum beats and audio tracks.

Basic music principles, compression, EQ, Reverb & Delay, building drumbeats using Groove Agent.

Vocal recording techniques and mixing principles, automation, importing of separate files and final mix.

Mix and mastering techniques and standards, distribution and publication of files, Channel Mixer, Basic Automation, Piano Roll, Step Programming, and editing of the Master track.
