If you have a creative spirit and are passionate about design, the MultiMedia Design course will take you on a journey through a domain of digital wonderment.

The two-year Diploma Course in Multimedia Design and the one year Advanced Diploma in MultiMedia Design involves work in many areas of new media design and equips students to become accomplished in the design and production of print media, web design and interactive media design.

The course offers both the theory and practice of Multimedia communication, with a focus on Graphic Design and the practical application of digital skills in a simulated design industry environment. Teamwork is encouraged and students learn to work in small design groups and with other CityVarsity departments to complete their projects.

Starting off with the basic principles of design (initially paper-based, followed by the digital domain), you’ll double-click your way to creative greatness via Creative, Graphic and Digital Design.

Each term and year offers a specific new skill set and challenge. Graphic design for print and web, Scripting for web development, Interactive and motion graphics all result in an immense portfolio with which to obtain a place in the design industry.

Our graduates find employment in print media, desktop publishing, web site development, new media design, multimedia production, graphic design, television and advertising.
